Pinetarsol Bath Oil also contains light liquid paraffin with a non-ionic dispersing agent to ensure even distribution of the oils in water and to assist in the absorption. It is also lanolin- and paraben-free.
Pharmacotherapeutic Group: Emollient, antipruritic and anti-inflammatory with a gentle cleansing action.
Pharmacology: When emerging from the bath, a fine film of oil adheres to the skin, retarding evaporation and continuing moisturisation of the skin. The combination of oils and pine tar has an antipruritic, soothing and anti-inflammatory effect. The oils and pine tar are finely dispersed for an even distribution on the skin and optimum therapeutic effect. Pinetarsol Bath Oil has no unpleasant smell or heavy, greasy feel, and is less slippery than most bath oils.
Eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, and other dry, itchy and inflamed skin conditions.
For maximum therapeutic effect, use in the bath is suggested; may also be used in the shower or as a sponge bath. Gently pat the skin dry; do not rub.
Bath: Add 10-15 mL to a warm bath. Bathe for 5-10 min. Infants: Add 3 mL to baby's bath.
Shower: Apply undiluted directly to wet skin, allow to remain for a few minutes, rinse lightly.
